An occupiers consent form is a legal form that an occupier of a property signs if they are not going on the mortgage. It is only required from someone over the age of 17 years of age and your solicitors will post/email this form directly to them for them to sign and send back.
They are required by your lender however it is your solicitor who will deal with obtaining this from the relevant occupiers.
The form is there to confirm that the occupier acknowledges the mortgage does exist and that they agree they have no legal right to stay in the property and will move out if respossession happens by the lender due to missed mortgage payments.
